Irish Fish and Dairy Industry Grant Schemes

Did you know that current grant schemes offer a unique opportunity to expand your storage and business?

Ireland’s Seafood Development Agency (Bord Iascaigh Mhara - BIM) assists progress and expansion of the Irish seafood industry by providing technical assistance, support, funding, training, and promoting environmentally responsible practices. Their Brexit Blue Economy Enterprise Development Scheme provides businesses and communities within 10km of the coast with the capacity to counter the negative economic and social consequences of Brexit.

TAMS II agricultural scheme is co-funded by the EU and the national exchequer under the Rural Development Programme (2014-2020) with a total allocation of over €395m over its duration. It aims to assist farmers in acquiring funds to improve their properties or provide equipment that could improve their business.

Both of these schemes offer opportunities for the dairy and fish industry to expand their storage space with the help of state funds and provide the support needed for further business development.

BIM scheme directed at the Irish seafood industry provides incentives for refrigeration temperature control upgrades, which can greatly help various seafood businesses in coastal areas. Furthermore, the TAMS II scheme supports milk storage needs and the modernisation of farm infrastructure.
