RS Refrigeration Units for Large Cold Rooms

Technical Information

The RS series units are monoblock refrigerating units which are very versatile. They can be wall mounted on any kind of material, insulated or brick making a hole.

In the case of wall mounting, special measures must be taken for the various thicknesses and  assembly possibilities.

Condensing Unit

The body of the condensing unit is made from epoxide powder painted steel sheet whereas the evaporator has aluminium sheet. The main feature of the body is the presence of openable front panels facilitating access to the cooling system.

Compressor Unit

The compressors are reciprocating hermetic or semi-hermetic type functioning with refrigerant R404A. The type of construction of theRS units enables their use outside without any particular protectionagainst the atmospheric agents. The system also provides for the use of all the devices necessary for good functioning in those conditions.

The RS refrigeration units are available in the standard applications in medium and low temperature, and also in special execution called“Polivalente” P (Multipurpose) enabling use of the cold room both in medium and in low temperature.

The series called “C”, is equipped with two-stage semihermetic reciprocating compressors and is suitable for the freezing tunnels.

The Zanotti RS range of refrigeration units are complete with:

• liquid receiver
• liquid sightglass
• line solenoid valve
• thermostatic valve for expansion of the refrigerant (except for
  RS225-RS135 with capillary)
• fully automatic, electric type defrost
• heat exchanger
• electrical panel (IP55 protection) with electromechanical control
• condenser fan pressure switch (except for RS225-RS135)
• compressor crankcase heating
• minimum and maximum pressure switches
• the electrical panel (IP55) includes electromechanical type instrumentation that supervises all the unit functions
