Chilled Cold Store for Leading Irish Hospital

A leading Irish hospital approached CRS looking for a purpose-built temperature controlled external unit for the hospital to hold high value pharma products and medicines.

The unit need to be highly accessible and offer space to conduct tests and general work. The solution also required a locking system for security.

CRS visited the hospital and conducted a thorough site survey to assess their requirement. The information from the site survey and discussion with hospital staff helped CRS to determine the right solution to meet hospitals need. It was decided that the appropriate solution would be to install four 40ft Mega Cold Stores.

The units were our high-specification CRS Grade A+ models, which feature temperature-controlled alarms, mantrap alarms, entry and exit alarms along with remote temperature monitoring reporting. All features that would be needed by the hospital to accurately manage and monitor the temperature sensitive goods they were storing and provide its users a safe working environment.

Chilled Cold Storage

Air Conditioning units were installed on the units to ensure an operating temperature range of 0ºC – 8ºC. This chilled temperature range is often required to store pharmaceutical inventories such as vaccines, blood samples and medical drugs. Guaranteeing that the inventories are stored at the correct temperature is vital to prevent deterioration and protect the integrity of temperature sensitive products.

CRS delivered a cost-effective solution that met the conditions required by the hospital. We were also able to deliver, install and commission the units on site within the short lead-time that the client requested.
